winter crafting plans
Le Pull London Bonnet
Gosh, I just love this pattern. Last winter, I made a crochet balaclava which I continue to love - it’s just a little too loose for those windy days, and the wind gets in too easily. Something like this will definitely solve that problem. I’m trying to get creative with my headwear this year.
It’s also the perfect scrap yarn project. I have some nicer wool, cotton, and mohair (!!!) that I want to use in a variety of colors. It would be so gorg. I do have a ton of acrylic yarn leftover as well that I can encorporate, as well as use that to knit some of these as gifts. It’s definitely so different than what I’ve done in the past, but it’s bulkyish so it should be a quick knit! I can always crochet the i-cords as well.
A bead curtain
I have been so obsessed with these bead curtains, omg. I first discovered them on instagram when the Korean craft girlies started making them like crazy. I swear, they’re always on a new level. They bewitched me - especially the hardware on the top that holds it all together. It really seems to be a Korean exclusive thing. I love this concept though - a fun project you can string beads on one at a time. The end result is just so precious too. I hyperfixated (oops) and finally found a site that sells that hardware + beads, and paid entirely too much for them. I swear, it’s going to be my long term project… heh. It’s going to be a miffy design too, I can’t wait.
Le Pull x Wool and the Gang Sweater
Long live the chunky knit turtleneck sweater!! I made a v-neck vest last winter with the wool and the gang crazy sexy wool and its my fav, softest knit ever. I’ve known I have absolutely needed this sweater and when that 25% off sale hit, I knew it was finally time. I’m hoping it’ll be a relatively quick knit even with all the color changes. The chunkyness will help it go fast, I think. It’s also going to be my first full sweater. 🥺
I haven’t even started on my sewing plans… lol. I’ll need to update this post with those at another date. It’s getting late and I’m tired - but excited for what the cozy season will bring.
